The survey received responses from nearly 1,800 businesses and state agencies, operating mainly in the fields of processing – manufacturing, trade – consumption. About 77% of businesses participating in the survey are medium, small and medium sized; Most are foreign-invested enterprises and non-state enterprises.
The starting income proposed by the surveyed units for university-level candidates is 5 to 10 million VND/month; Next is the salary of 10 – 15 million VND/month. Salary of 10 – 30 million VND/month will be for personnel with master’s and doctoral degrees.
About 67% of surveyed units prioritize recruiting personnel who graduated from training facilities under Ho Chi Minh City National University. Among them, personnel graduating from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology are given the highest recruitment priority.
In the next 3 years (2023 – 2025), the number of employees that nearly 1,800 surveyed employers expect to recruit is more than 79,000 people. Recruitment needs mainly focus on the fields of engineering, engineering technology, production and processing, business and management, computers, information technology and health.
The research team of the above project believes that, to avoid the situation where students graduate but cannot be used, causing waste of society’s resources, the State needs to act as a bridge between businesses (demand) and training institutions. universities (supply) to meet the need for high-quality human resources for national development.
Ho Chi Minh City National University needs to recommend that provinces and cities in the Southeast region conduct in-depth research for each locality on the needs of employers to forecast and have plans to meet the recruitment needs of each field.
